The Crowd: Newport Beach Foundation prepares the next generation to lead
There is a generational changing of the guard in the world of social action. Over the last decade, the amazing men and women who came into their own in the years following World War II embraced a new American model that included all members of society. Business men and women of the “Greatest Generation,” followed by their children, the Baby Boomers, got involved in all aspects of social welfare with the intent of raising up every level of American society.

Newport Beach Foundation celebrates future leadership and community organization
Local citizens, working professionals, business owners and civic leaders attended Newport Beach Foundation’s celebration event at the Balboa Bay Resort to honor recipients of the organization’s “Distinguished Citizens Program” (DCP) and charitable partner “The Literacy Project.” The Newport Beach Foundation, a nonprofit philanthropic organization re-established in 2017, is on a mission to strengthen current and future community leadership.

Newport Beach Foundation to launch Distinguished Citizen Program
On October 24, the Newport Beach Foundation held its introduction to the Distinguished Citizen Program to a sell-out audience. In attendance were six out of seven Newport Beach Council members and all 14 City department heads. The John Wayne Cancer Foundation was the charitable partner of the event.
